Throughput Doesn’t Start in the ED challenges the common assumption that emergency department (ED) crowding is solely an ED issue. Participants will explore upstream factors—such as inpatient flow, discharge planning, and hospital-wide coordination—that directly impact ED throughput. Designed for nurse leaders and healthcare professionals, the course offers practical strategies to improve patient flow, reduce bottlenecks, and foster cross-departmental collaboration for sustainable change.
